I'm really into
Rasputina right now, they're a kind of alternative band with a lot of cellos and mixed in beats + electronica, its a perfect blend of music.

I've also loved, but I've been getting back into a lot lately,
Cat Power.
Her new album, The Greatest, is so lovely and exactly the kind of album you would expect from her, in a good way. Her music is like indie-folk, with a dash of indie-rock, and a pinch of blues. Perfect combo.

I've also really enjoyed Rilo Kiley, its one of the best indie bands on the market, hands down. But I never thought the lead,
Jenny Lewis, would ever do that great on her own, what could she do without the band that she couldn't do on her own? I was wrong. Her creativity flourished with her debut solo Rabbit Fur Coat, and I fell in love on first listen. I'm so happy she announced a new tour, and yay!! She's coming to Cleveland, what could be better?
Jenny's music is like bluesy-folk with indie-rock bleeding through. Really check it out, an album not to be passed up, for sure.

For now, I'll end
with a favorite.
Bjork. I of course always love her and her music, but I can't pass the chance to talk about her. Bjork's music is so unique. Anyone can say that about anybody, but in this case it is true. She doesn't let other people influence her music, but rather lets them become part of the process through collaboration. Its as if the album is already finished in her mind from day one, its just the process of making it come alive in a physical way, and with every album she has done that, without failing once.
I could go on and on, but I'll leave it at that. If I had to recommend one artist to someone, Bjork would be that one, always.
